A Reflection of 2018: A Bumpy 2018 and Hopes for 2019

Hello Readers,

My family and I enjoying the first snow of Winter.

My family and I enjoying the first snow of Winter.

This past year, like for many, has been a collection of ups and downs. First, I would like to thank all of the readers who came by and read my site at the beginning of the year. One of the coolest moments from this year was having one of our articles retweeted by Dark Horse Comics for our review of the first two BlackSad books. While there are some happy memories about the beginning of our site, we did hit some hurdles. One of the biggest hurdles I had to face was dealing with different treatments for my Crohn’s Disease. From fatigue to stomach pains, I had a hard time making it through my regular job and Steam for Dreams has gone without updates for months on end. The worst part of it all, I lost out on valuable time with those who matter most, my family. Thanks to new treatments and some life changes, 2019 is looking a lot brighter.

Steam for Dreams will see more weekly content being posted and due to some awesome changes in the works, we will see more rounded content as well. We have some Favorites of 2018 content landing on the site throughout the first two weeks of 2019. Beyond that, we have new action figure reviews based on toys from companies like Hot Toys and Mattel, previews and thoughts on upcoming tabletop/video games, new film reviews, and several books to start off our 2019. We are also going to continue to start posting under this new blog titled “Art of Living.” This page will cover things that are more personal and may not fit under the other tabs. From personal art projects to journeys done with my family, Art of Living will provide a glimpse on more personal thoughts and also updates on the site.

Steam for Dreams is going to grow to greater heights in 2019 and I hope that you and many others join us on this journey. Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook so that you can stay up-to-date with everything that will go on with our site. Also share our page to others and give us any feedback about what you like or what more you would like to see. We hope that 2018 brought you all joy and that 2019 will bring you more unforgettable moments!

Peace + Love,
