SOLARHU: The East African Collection from Pharrell x Adidas

   For those familiar with Pharrell Williams, you may know that he is almost as famous for his clothing as he is for his Grammy winning music. For the last few years, outside of his brands with BAPE's Nigo, he has continued to work with Adidas under their Originals umbrella. His best selling shoes are his Hu designs, which are in line with the NMD design that Adidas. Pharrell continues to pull inspiration from the world and highlight the beauty that isn't presented to the masses. His last collection titled Hu Holi. The beautiful splash of colors was received well by some consumers. Some observers did not like that the collection profited off the aesthetics of Holi, the Hindu Festival.  

  For this most recent release, which releases August 18th, 2018, connects with a palette of designs inspired by East Africa. From the earth tones to the overall cultural patterns, this collection is straying from the taboo nature of religion and focused mainly on the overall art of East Africa.

   The SOLARHU NMDs come in three different colorways. They will retail for $250.

   The NMDs are not the only shoes that are being released in this collection.  The SOLARHU Tennis V2 will come in two colorways and they will retail for $130.
