Hot Toys' 2019 Toy Fair Exclusive Releases...

For over a decade, Hong Kong based collectible company, Hot Toys, releases a selection of figures for the annual toy event Toy Fair. This selected figures are usually based on properties that they have previously worked on in years past. Since Sideshow Collectibles is the main US Distributor, they usually are the only vendor that sell the Toy Fair Exclusives from Hot Toys. The only issue that I have found with this fact is that Sideshow chooses random figures to sell exclusively at San Diego Comic Con, which is hard to attend is far away from most collectors. This year, Sideshow sold their allotment of Neon Tech Iron Man 2.0 as a SDCC pick-up only item. The Scarlet Spider figure is also currently on waitlist status through Sideshow but was offered to everyone.

Today, Hot Toys announced the full lineup for the four figure lineup for the Toy Fair Exclusives for 2019. On Facebook, Hot Toys announced two more figures for the 2019 Toy Fair Exclusive collection. Both figures are going to be very highly sought out. One is a variant of a previously released figure while the other is a revision of a previously released villain.

The Dark Knight collection has been one of the more popular DC lines for Hot Toys. The film has a large fan based globally and having a new Harvey Dent figure release is going to please a lot of collectors. Previously, HT has released a figure for Catwoman, four versions of Joker, Bane, and Scarecrow (which was in a two pack with Batman Demon). This release will be their second attempt at the Aaron Eckhart’s take on the lawyer turned indecisive villain. The only villains that we are now missing is Ra’s al Ghul and, his daughter, Talia al Ghul.

This is the second Stan Lee figure that has been released by HT. This figure highlights the cameo that he had in Guardian of the Galaxy Vol 2. Similarly to the Harvey Dent, this Stan Lee figure will be very popular but for a different reason. This is a figure that will resonate with a lot of fans that appreciated Lee’s contributions to comics and also to commemorate his passing. The first Stan Lee figure wasn’t a huge release but did sell out after his unexpected passing. This figure will be an awesome addition to anyone’s Marvel collection.

While these are the Toy Fair Exclusives for HT this year, more limited or special edition figures could be announced before the end of the year. Check back with us to see some of the new figures being announced by Hot Toys and other manufacturers.
